| Phil plays Don in Keep on Running and is just brilliant. Keep on Running is set in the sixties and is a mixture of comedy, tragedy and music. Phil is outstanding as Don and if I could describe his part in the show then it would be this. As Don, Phil plays starts off as a schoolboy just completing his A Levels with plans to go to Art School. He is going out with Michelle who wants to get engaged but Don doesnt want to and he feels that there is more to life. At his first week at Fords, where he is doing a summer job, he meets Kathy and falls head over heels in love with her straight way. He dumps Michelle for Kathy but he cant see that she is just using him. During the second act, its two years later and Don sees Kathy again, hes now at Art College and is completely cut off from his friends but the death of his mother means he is back in touch with them. Tragedy strikes when Kathy is paralysed in a motorbike crash and Don performs the ultimate act of love and kills Kathy by suffocating her. Phil sings loads during the show, from the up tempo to the moving ballad and I think that his voice was the best that Id ever heard it. He wore several costumes during the show, starting off with a school uniform then becoming a Mod with Fred Perry polo shirt and Parka to a hippy in 1968 with flares and long flowing wig. My favourite costume was when he was a Mod as it made him look very sexy. I thoroughly enjoyed the show and thought that Phil was outstanding; its just a pity that the show didnt run for longer.
