Having been a fan of Phils for absolutely yonks I was really excited when I heard that he was going to be in Keep on Running and I knew that I had to go and see him.

I attended one of the previews and having been to them before I knew that the show I saw might not be the one I saw later during the run.

What I wasnt prepared for is how fantastic Phil was I expected to see some nerves from him as it was still a very new part but if he was nervous then it didnt show.

He sang like Id never heard him before, his voice sounded so strong and clear and he sang a range of ballads and rock songs which was just brilliant and suited his voice wonderfully.

Phil plays acoustic and electric guitar, flute and keyboards, Id never seen him play the keyboards before and he does this during the final two songs of the show.  During the encore he even performs a very small guitar solo.  He doesnt play an instrument during the first half of the show so its all done during the second but apart from his guitar playing during the encore its all done at the back of the stage.

He has three costumes during the show, a school uniform and trousers, polo shirt and jumper are worn during the first half and a jacket, purple shirt and flared jeans are worn during the second also during the second half he wears a wig as its meant to be 1968 and at the height of Flower Power.  Im not exactly sure if the wig suits him but it does reflect the times very well.

The one thing Im sure that will get mentioned a lot is that during the first half Phil shows off his body during a bed scene with Emily Gardner as Kathy.
Phils acting was just superb from when he was a nave teenager struggling with his feelings to the final emotional scenes in the hospital with Kathy which are so emotional.

I enjoyed the show immensely and would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of Phils.  I do believe that this is the best show he has done and as always he gives 100%.

Well done Phil you were amazing
