Phils performance in The Good Intent is just sensational and Im so glad that I had the chance to see him in the show.

Its difficult to say whether Phil is one of the stars of the story but he is certainly a star in my eyes.

He plays the role of Charlie, a pilot who flies Spitfires and not only does he act; he also plays the double bass and guitar and sings.

Phil sings two songs in the show, Waiting for the Rain which is the opening number and is performed by Phil sitting on a  box at the front of the stage and writing a letter to the girl he loves, part of the song are the words that he is writing.

The second song is called It Isnt Cricket and is a duet between Phil and Loveday Smith (Edie, the girl he loves), its sung after its been said that Charlie has dies and Phil appears in cricket whites (as if as a ghost) and recites a letter he has written to his mother that he asked Edie to post for him.  Its a very emotional song that sees Loveday singing with tears rolling down her face.

Other things that Phil does in the show are teaching American pilot Sanders Draper how to play cricket and there is a very funny scene where Charlie tries to get romantic with Edie and the Air Raid Siren goes off.

If youre a fan of Phils then you will enjoy this show as he is featured a lot and even after Charlie dies he is still on stage playing guitar although he does try to keep himself hidden.

A great night out and I loved watching Phil.
