| An emotional last day of The Comedy of Errors as I knew that it would be the last time I saw Phil for a while. I think the final performance was sold out and it was a brilliant way for the show to end. As with all the other times I had seen the show Phil was totally brilliant, in fact I think that this was the best I had seen him perform. He seemed to have so much energy and was relishing how nasty he could be, in fact I think over the last couple of weeks he has really got nasty and a lot worse than at the beginning of the run. Dr Pinch and Stand by your Man were both done with so much enthuiasm and Phil really did seem so well into Dr Pinch and I do think that his dancing had got so much better and he really could move. The final two songs had the audience clapping along and I was dancing in my seat. Soul Man went down a treat and I suddenly started to feel sad when it came to them taking their bows. An extra bow was given and then James Eaton and Georgina Field went into Everybody Needs Somebody to Love and Loveday Smith and Wendy Parkin started twisting which is something that Phil tried to do as well but with his bass sax it wasn't that easy for him to move. All too soon the final chords of the song were played and with a final wave everyone left the stage. Thanks to Phil for a great show and I hope to see him soon. Phil Reed Fan |
