Phil plays Jackson in Pump Boys and Dinettes and is brilliant.  He sings loads and plays many instruments including some I had never seen him play before.

In a show that lasts just an hour and half he is never off stage and this is just such a treat fro fans of Phil.

Mona is Phils flagship song, as Jackson sings about the Woolworths Checkout girl he loves.  I would have to say that to me its a bit like Cookies solo was in Planet and yes he does play a guitar solo which whilst not as long as the one he did in Planet, it is just as good.

Pump Boys and Dinettes has no story to speak of, its just a collection of songs joined together by stories about their lives told by the characters and in many respects its an odd one.

Hearing Phil sing a lot is a delight and I had forgotten what a great voice he has, as the last time he had really sung that much was Keep on Running.

As I mentioned Phil plays many instruments and these are guitar electric and acoustic, bass, harmonica, keyboards, accordion and some stringed thing he played on his lap sorry dont know the name.

If youre a fan of Phils then you should go and see this and dont worry if you think that there is a lot of Country and Western music because it is mixed with rock n roll.

A great night out with loads of laughs.
