| I saw the first preview of Aladdin a couple of weeks back and thought that Phil was excellent on the show. Hes in the first scene and is on stage on numerous occasions throughout the panto and has quite a lot to do. During the show he plats guitar, banjo, saxophone, bass and flute and Ive never seen him play so many instruments in one show before and it was wonderful to see. He did do some singing with the others and he had one line to speak, when he introduced himself, although I cant remember what his name was. His costumes are typical for a panto, very brightly coloured and over the top which would be OK but its these that make Phil look uncomfortable and he shuffled his feet a few times which is a sign of being uncomfortable. Phil also has a couple of dance moves to do during the panto, one routine involves him dancing with the kids and there is also a part where it looks like hes doing the dance from The Young Ones. Whilst Phil is excellent, my only complaint would be that hes not on stage enough, yes hes seen loads but he could still be seen more. On the whole though Phil is completely fantastic and Aladdin is really good as well. Kathryn Porterhouse http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PhilReed |
