| Phil's Musical Stuff Right. Well. Erm. I'm active in several musical... things. I play in Easingwold Brass, a struggling but historic brass band, believed to be one of the oldest in continuous existence in Yorkshire, but in danger of fizzling out unless people like me and you keep it going. I also play in All Saints Brass, a brass quintet based in York and available for hire. We play a range of styles of music, much of it light-hearted or quirky (not unlike our good selves...) And then there's Bluephunk. New on the York music scene, Bluephunk will shortly take by storm. Anyway, I seem to have become their trombone player. I'm also (officially I see!), the "go-to guy" when Funkate need a reserve trombone player... Wot else...? Oh yeah, I played for St John's College Musical Production Society's recent production of The Wizz. And I get dragged in to play for various other bits and pieces around York. I can also be heard occasionally at the Thompson's Arms on a Wednesday Folk Night session. I play folk tunes with my wife Clare, who plays fiddle. And from time to time I mess about at home with a four-track. That's enough to be going on with isn't it? |
