Beautiful Day
Written by Phil Pritchett
(5:14)

A             E                         F#m         D          A
I want to thank you for this beautiful day
E                  A            E
I hope I will remember
A            E              F#m                  D             A
And so I say again, thanks a lot my friend
              E                     A
For this memorable November

Bm       F#7       Bm                 F#7
Theyll say Im lucky yes its true
Bm     F#7              Bm      F#7
But it wasnt up to me
Bm    F#7          Bm           F#7
Up until now Ive had my doubts
Bm                  F#7                      D
But something today made me believe

So I lift my hands to the air and declare
That I am free to be
Im feeling thankful for all of the things
That you have given me

And they say Im undeserving yes I know
Probably shouldnt be this way
Up until now my tongues been tied
But I finally found the words to say

Its all right, its all right
Its such a beautiful day.
Its all right, its all right,
Its such a beautiful day.

(guitar solo)

So I thank you for this beautiful day
I know I wont forget
Because a part from all of my short comings
You havent given up on me yet

Im not asking what this is all about
Cause it isnt hard to see
Even though my faith may run out
You wont stop loving me
And I heard you whisper

Its all right, its all right
Its such a beautiful day

Phil's song notes:

"My gospel tune about spiritual awakening and forgiveness.
This one has been popular with my fans for a while because
I had released it on a live album I did in college
with another band.
Bob Overton played a great slide part that
completed the production.
I wrote this years ago in school during a tough few days.
I'd broken my hand playing football and had some
complications with
its healing, a few surgeries, rehab, etc.
It had me really bummed out and in pain but it often takes
times like this to figure what you're really about."
