Cataloguing
of Photographs
Toward the end of
the project period' the team was able to look into institutions that house
collections of photographs and books with photographs from the said period.
Individuals known to have similar collections were also approached. Cataloguing
of their collections is presently being accomplished. The data collected
by the team pertained largely to existing photographs housed in institutions
in Metro Manila. While there were collections found in the provinces,
some of these are already available in the capital, mostly in larger collections
or books that are housed in institutions in Metro Manila. The untapped
photographs are those that belong to private collectors or which serve
as memorabilia. These are mostly rare, taken merely for the family.
