The imposible is usually accomplished by the person who was too stupid to realize it was impossible. (A. Einstein)

Maybe death itself will turn out to be curable, though that would depend on whether the laws of physics permit true immortality. (Singularity Institute for AI)

2000 G.W. Bush, the man prohibiting stem cell research and therapeutic cloning, unfairly won presidential election with illeagal help from his brother Jeb Bush, the governor of Florida. read more here + from CNN

My story:

1986.08.09 19.30 o'clock PJ set his eyes on this world of suffering in Vilnius - capital of Lithuania. At
the age of 1.5 PJ could talk and recognize letters. He enrolled at Vilnius lyceum when he was 14. There he met the tutor of the
mathematical class, who had an impact on his thinking by introducing him to
question "what is the meaning of life?", to which PJ found his subjective answer: to try to overcome one's destiny, it means 1) not to
die or resurrect if dead; 2) at least partly get rid of the power of natural
laws, if it's possible. He will refuse such view later. After PJ had read Dalai Lama's book "The art of happines", he started to listen to dhamma talks online and found that buddhist point of view includes reduced rivalry which would be useful to achieve many transhumanist aims.

In 2003 PJ was initiated to the IB class.

In June, 2004 PJ had a few heart spasms and very high blood pressure in effect of allergy to medicine for common cold - Clarinase. After a month or so PJ was diagnosed with a schizoaffective disorder in Kaunas medical university clinic. Then PJ returned back From IB to the same grade of lyceum. Soon PJ formulated an important question: could there exist an entity not subject to any
laws?

It seems that whatever the answer to this question is, free will is impossible. Because the two alternatives are determinism or randomness (happenings without any cause are random). This implies that human behavior is subject to natural laws and is genetically and environmentally programmed maybe with some random factors. Our choices are illusions created because of the fact that our cerebral cortex orders how we act. But IMO these decisions have zero autonomy.

I hope I was wrong about that.
