Well hello and thank you for coming to my site.  If you're reading this you probably know what I'm up to right now (in general), so I won't repeat any of that.  I'll pretend I'm writing a mass email instead...

Had a wonderful bike ride last night (geez, is this all I talk about these days!?).  70km down to the coast, along the coast, and then back up into the mountains.  Took 2 hours and 20 minutes (we went pretty slowly on the way home, though).  Along the coast we do a bout 30km on a small peninsula between the Atlantic and the Ria de Aveiro, a small inlet.  We can see the inlet all along the route, with its calm water shimmering in the moonlight.  Beautiful sight, though you tend to forget about it when the wind is blowing so hard that you feel like biking backwards.

I think the temperature is starting to rise (knock on wood).  The last few days have been consistently around 15 degrees.  The weather changes very slowly here, though, so it will be a very gradual increase in temp. until summer.  The changes in Canada seem much more abrupt somehow.

Ciao for now,
Phil
