| July 19, 2002 Welcome back to Canada. I find myself today in Hull, Quebec, visiting my lovely girlfriend, Gabrielle. She's at work, so I'm writing in my diary, which is seldom read by anyone, but I'll write it anyway! By the way, if you do read this, send me an email, just to let me know that it's worth me writing this! I had a great trip back from Portugal. The flight arrived early and I whisked through customs and baggage. I've been at the cottage mostly since then, where we're working on a new deck. Actually, we're just arguing over the design right now, but maybe when I get home from Hull that will be finished! My summer will be busy with the deck and some other similar projects, after which, well, we'll see (geez, have I ever said that before?). I'm very happy to be back with my family and friends. The fam. hasn't been all together since last spring, so it's really nice to be with them. My Mum and Dad have both retired - at least kind of. They'll both be receiving their pensions, anyway, but still working, either part time or from time to time or something like that. And my brother Art is probably home most of the summer, not heading out onto another cruise ship until the fall, though that's not concrete. So that's today's news. I'm happy to be home and I hope all is well with you! Phil |
