| A dogs's normal temperature is 100.8-102.5 degress F. A fever is the best indication of illness or infection. To take your dog's temperature, use a rectal thermometer that's well lubricated and a helper. Insert the thermometer and leave in at a minimal of of 1-2 minuets for an accurate reading. |

| A rottweiler's normal heart beat is somewhere between 60-100 beats a minute while resting. Keep in mind this rate can vary due to other factors such as illness, stress, age, physical condition, exertion, and enviornmental factors. The easiest location to find your dogs pulse is the inside of the thigh near the groin. Locate the obvious vein running through the thigh chop and use two fingers placed firmly to feel and count their pulse. |
