MULTI ALARM BLAZE RIPS THROUGH TRENTON WAREHOUSE
On January 8th 2006 Crews from Trenton Fire Dept. fought a multi alarm blaze in a large vacant warehouse on New York Ave. It is believed that this fire officially went to 3 alarms. The blaze started in the early evening, and crews were fighting flare-ups well past midnight. This was due to numerous chemicals that were stored in the building. Mutual aid and covers were brought in from Burlington and Mounmouth County, NJ, and Bucks County, PA. They have numerous calls for smoke conditions in the area. A haze of smoke could be seen as far away as Bristol Twp., Bucks County, PA.
ALL HANDS DWELLING IN NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA
On January 8th 2006 at around 21:05 crews were dispatched to 324 Avon St. for a dwelling fire. E-56 arrived on scene reporting heavy fire showing from the 2nd and 3rd floors. Batt-13 requested the box be struck out and placed all hands in service. Crews made a quick knock of the fire. Batt-13 placed the fire under control in about 30 minutes. He also requested the Fire Marshal to the scene.
2 ALARM FIRE GUTS VACANT MOVIE THEATER IN YEADON (DELAWARE CO)
On January 8th 2006 at around 00:07 crews were dispatched for a building fire at the Yeadon Theater located at Church Ln. and Bailey Rd. Police arrived reporting fire blowing out the front doors into the street. 16-9 arrived on scene reporting heavy fire through the roof and requested the 2nd alarm struck. This building had been under demolition for over a year, with part of the rear wall missing as a result. The State Fire Marshal was requested on the scene and is investigating the cause of this fire.
ONE CAR MVA WITH ENTRAPMENT ON I-676 IN PHILADELPHIA
On January 7th 2006 crews were dispatched to I-676 (Vine St. Expressway) at the Ben Franklin Bridge exit for an MVA. Batt-4 had a one car MVA with 1 patient trapped inside. The ladder company and Squad 47 went in service with the Jaws of Life. The extrication was complete at 01:32. The patient's condition is unknown. It appeared as thought eh vehicle struck the end of the concrete wall head-on.
