Ok a little about me, I am a Lancashire lad, raised mostly in and around Manchester, Red Rose country. Needless to say Man U <United> is the football team I follow. I have travelled to numerous countries mainly due to having been in the armed forces, many moons ago. I now stay in Dunbar, Scotland, have lived here for over 20 yrs and love the place, East Coast, not too far from Edinburgh and not too far from the Border either, just incase they decide to ethnic cleanse the English as my mates keep promising :) Occupation For a living I operate heavy earth moving equipment ie; dozers, dumpers, diggers, Z z z z z z z z z z 's, only claim to fame ( sad ) once flattened a Landrover with a Cat777 dumper, the best part of 200tons loaded, no contest, and it was the foremans too, ouch, dont you just hate it when that happens, yeah and it was his fault. I was stationary and this guy parked his landrover right next to my dumptruck on the blindside and walked off and left it there, so when I started to move forwards with right hand lock on I felt this slight bump. I thought nothing of it - just another small rock lying around, so I just carried on and over -Ooooppps :) "fancy parking a landrover there slaphead" he took it quite well actually, went a bit pale for a while, :) thankfully nobody was hurt.

I ghosted a pic of a Landrover onto the dumptruck pic to let you see the size differences, when I squashed said vehicle it was parked on the other (blind) side of Truck. -Ouch !! Oh dear, what a pity - never mind. Both pics are to the best of my knowledge public domain.
In the pipeline Hope to put up a little bit of history & info about where I live - Dunbar, namely The Battle of Dunbar, you no doubt have heard about the battles of Culloden & Bannockburn but you probably have'nt heard about the battle Oliver Cromwell had here ? Hope to put up a photo of the house where John Muir was raised, situated in the high street. We have a country park named after him, right next to Belhaven beach which is great for walks etc. And then there's Black Agnes from way back in history, she was some female by all accounts, held out against the English & stopped them taking Dunbar castle - if you would like to see an artists impression of how the castle used to look & photo's of how it looks today click here.
