The news is on

The newscaster smiles then spiels more woe en-masse

Trains, cars and planes have crashed, floods have flashed

Ice caps are melting breaking and drifting

Tecktonic plates are shifting, an earthquake is caught on some home video

Reporters chase another tornado

A volcano blows sky high, nature beats her drum

The end is nigh, but the end for some has too soon come

Some sad man, bad man, mad man starts a war

Black clouds and flames from fires roar, soar up into the atmosphere

Global warming it seems is here today to stay

Again terrorists have used religion as an excuse to maim and kill

Then ran back to the shadows of their blood soaked streets

And still the hunt is on for another sex murderer

A mother clutches her handkerchief and wipes the tears of pain and grief from her cheeks

The weatherman grins then speaks

Alas the forecast is not good

Another day has come and gone

I change channel on the remote

The news is on
