The Grand Mosque, Bahrain.
Open day for non-muslims
Bahrain's answer to St. Paul's Cathedral!

As part of the Eid holiday celebrations, the custodians of the grand mosque  welcomed non-muslims in to have a look around.

It was very well organised, with a warm welcome and no 'hard sell' of the islamic faith.  After a good look around we were free to stay and eat traditional food, drink arabic tea & coffee and have very light hearted Arabic lessons (very funny!)

With so much publicity on TV and in the papers these days, about the distorted view of a small minority, it was very refreshing to see the (real) friendly face of Islam.
