The Glider is a product of the combined design efforts of Bill Nicole, Engineer, Boatbuilder and owner of Gemini Catamaran's and the Sailmaking expertise of Ian Marcovitch of Redhead Sails.
Their mission was to come up with a modern boat that could provide an attractive entry point to the sport for the young and lightweight, whether they be boys and girls or ladies and men. It is much lighter than many other boats with a platform weight of 50kg and this makes it much easier to be moved around on shore. The tramp and beam setup allows the platform to be broken down and assembled quickly making it realistic to transport on the top of a car. It can be sailed Uni (cat) or Sloop and with or without a Spinnaker and snuffer in each configuration.
