| Phil Joel on Strangely Normal: i began writing this song in new zealand. i spent far too long looking for answers to who I was, and why, being adopted, these were the big questions, until recently, like a ton of bricks, the answer landed. I have become and am becoming who I am due to the commitment to Jesus I made when i was eight years old. nature and nurture have their places, but our identity must come from who we are in Christ. |
