My final evaluation....

• Where could I have saved money :
  • by buying not-really-Mehari-parts instead of 'genuine Mehari (?)' : rubber bands for canvas, hood straps,
  • paintwork (still have some left...) : glad I used all components, but bought too much of them
  • buying new wheels instead of restoring the original ones (no kidding !)
  • more patience for buying a Mehari : you always find a cheaper one !
• Happy with the result ?
     Hmm.....quite ! I give myself 85/100 for the restoration quality
• Was it worth all the cost/time/energy ? Definitely YES !
