This television offers a 13-inch black-matrix picture tube in a stylish cabinet, as well as front earphone and AV jacks. It also includes an onscreen clock with daily alarm and Philips's Quadrasurf remote for total control. The front-panel audio-video inputs ensure fast, easy connection of external video sources (VCR, camcorder, video games), while the earphone jack lets you plug in and enjoy your favorite movie, music video, or video game without disturbing others. The monaural jack is compatible with all standard .125-inch minijack plugs.
The digital quartz tuner can receive up to 181 channels, including UHF, VHF, and 113 cable channels, without the inconvenience and expense of a cable company decoder-converter (on nonscrambled cable systems).
A daily alarm/event timer is enhanced by a sleep timer, which automatically shuts off at a preset time of up to 240 minutes from the time the feature is activated. Sleep timer settings are programmed in 15-minute increments.
