Celebrating TANABATA Festival
July 7th is called TANABATA or Star Festival in Japan.    As a tradition, we wrote our wishes on narrow strips coloured papers and hang them together
with other paper ornaments to a bamboo branch.  Hoping that our wishes will come true.
The TANABATA festival is thought to have started from China.  The festival traces its origins to a legend that the Cowherd Star, Altair and Weaver Star, Vega, lovers separated by the Milky Way, are allowed to meet just once a year... on the 7th of July.
A memorable experience!
