I notice that hesky has a lump in her abdomen, thinking she is going to lay an egg soon!
Starting to get a bit worried she may be eggbound as there is not an egg yet and her abdomen is rather big, checked to see if she was still eliminating, and yes she was so i wasnt as worried.
Came home late afternoon to find that hesky had laid the first egg of her 2nd clutch, this making me feel better and that she is not eggbound. Fingers crossed its fertile!
I caught them mating today if the first egg isnt fertile maybe the second one will be!
By the looks af Hesky's abdomen she has laid another egg, as its now smaller than this morning, i dont want to disturb the nest too much so im not going to check it that much, i will probably have a peek later in the week, to see what shes up to in there and then just check her weekly to check she is doing ok, this is because i dont want her to abandone the eggs like she did with her first clutch, heres hoping!
I have found where all the millet goes when i give the birds theirs, i watched them with it today and found that hesky takes it apart and then carries it up to the nest, maybe for some snacks when she is incubating!!
Looks like hesky has laid another egg but i havent checked yet, i will l8r and let you know!
No more eggs off hesky so it looks like we have 4 alltogether i checked the nest box like a week ago now, and the eggs i think will start to hatch around 15/3/03! so not far off only like 2 weeks!! yay i cnt wait!!

Just checked the nestbox and i found that hesky had laid antother egg, this makes 5, it was 2 days l8 but thats ok!!
Well the date to hatch hesky abandoned the eggs for me to find later 2 dead in the shell, well im giving them one more go this year and if they dont get any chicks the box is going away untill next year, she is building her nest already now 21/3/03 and hopefuly more eggs soon! this time with live chicks that hatch and are looked after perfectly by the parents!
