Well, we finally bought our first house. We searched and searched ! We wanted a home that we could "grow into" - so we were looking at 3bdrm with extra living areas for the office - and some 4bdrm's. Well, we stumbled across a home in Hurst, TX that was a 5bdrm, 3bath - with a 2nd living area for less $$ than most of the 3bdrm's we were looking at ! The owner had gotten transferred to Puerto Rico, and his family had already moved - he was ready to get out of the house as FAST as possible. So, in turn, we were able to get the house for a STEAL ! It's only 2 years old in a newly developed neighborhood - with a private fishing pond and a playground for the kids. We absolutely love it !
Now, I took these pictures right before we went on a trip, so needless to say, the house isn't in the "shape" that I normally keep it. . . . . forgive the lack of picking up, etc that was done !
I have lots of ideas, since as you can tell, the rooms aren't completely finished - I have ideas of painting and wallpapering the bathrooms - and I'm decorating Damon's room in Spiderman after we get back from our trip. . . it will be ready before school starts - he'll be so excited. BUT, I can only re-decorate so much at a time, so it's gonna take a while to finish the entire house and get it all set up. . . .. but at least you see what I have to work with !
As I finish up the re-decorating process, etc - I'll post more pictures of the "transformation". |

This is the 2nd living area (upstairs) - we've made it into our office. We're hoping to get a nice futon couch to put up against the railing here. . . . you can't see it, but the antique piano is to the left along the wall. |

Don't the curtains just match wonderfully ?? NOT ! They came with the house, and the window is so much larger than our last one, I don't have any curtains to replace these yet . . . . so we are going to muttle through until I can get my hands on some ! |

To the Left is Damon's room - currently "under decoration" . . . I'm working on a Spiderman motif . . . just waiting for the stuff to come in. To the right is Damon's playroom. . this is the 5th bedroom. . . . same dimensions as the master. . . although it doesn't look that large in this picture. |
