Extenuating circumstances have brought Philip and Chloe together time and again following her arrival to Salem, but Philip's image conscious nature, especially regarding his reputation, and Chloe's instinctual suspicion of others and constant withdrawal from the outside world, have continuously posed several problems for them. In Written in the Stars, Philip and Chloe's paths cross once more and force them closer than ever before. But this time, will they be able to overcome their insecurities and unite, or will the obstacles between them forever remain? Was Phloe's relationship truly "written in the stars?"
