Coach Shriver has been the Girls' Head Track Coach since the spring season of 1994. During her tenure as the Girls' Head Coach, she has taken numerous athletes to the state meet where they have done quite well. This past season (2007) her shuttle team finished fourth, and each athlete that qualified for the state meet will be back next season. Mrs. Shriver also produced a state runner-up in Marteney Jacobs at the long jump. She has also served as the Assistant Girls' Basketball Coach at Philip Barbour since 1995-1996. In the 2004-2005 season her Junior Varsity team went undefeated. Coach Shriver, a PB graduate, was the 1983, 1984, and 1985 WV State High Jump Champion. (She was Tina Wright, then.) Coach Shriver also placed in the discus and long jump at the state meet as a high school athlete. She is a physical education and health teacher at Philippi Middle School. She and her husband Randy Shriver have three children; Brittini, 17; Nikki, 11, and David, 7. |
