Day Five - To Billings Montana
Return to Links Page
After a rest day in Jackson's Hole, which was very much enjoyed, we headed off to Billings Montana. To get there we rode through the Grand Teton Mountains and Yellowstone National Park. We headed out at around 8:00am and arrived in Billings at 5:20pm. It was a short day from a miles perspective only totaling 240 miles. What i didn't take into account was the 45 mph speed limit through both parks.... however the ride and scenery was spectacular.
As we headed out of Jackson, this is what we rode along side for the first half an hour.
The roads were winding all through the park, and it seemed like all morning we climbed higher and higher. The altitude for most of the day was between 5000 and 7000 ft.
No words I can provide will do justise to this picture
In fact we were up so high that we were riding through the clouds....
The beginning of Yellowstone park. There always seems to be someone around to take a picture of us both.
And we got to see Bison in the wild....
Chloe taking a break, we just finished going through the parks and decided to rest. It was cold as we rode in the higher elevations, but fortunately we were prepared..
