Day Seven - Sturgis here we come
Return to Links Page
Well we spent our first night at the campground, not to bad. Nothing a few heavies (beers) didn't fix.
We decided to spend our first few days visiting the most popular locations before the masses get here, we will see how we do.
We started our first full day in Sturgis on a ride into the Black Hills, this is a dam on Hwy 385, one of the main loops in the "Black Hills.
This is one of the 6 tunnels on the Needles Hwy, they are all single lane tunnels carved out of the rock.
This is in the Middle of Custer State Park, we stopped for a rest...
We came across a herd of wild Bison, about 80 of them crossing the road in front of us.... people were stopped everywhere for pictures.
Another break, in the park, as you can tell Chloe uses the camera the most.
Mount Rushmore in the stone..... but you knew that.
More of the single lane tunnels, this one is on Iron Mountain road.
We stopped in Keystone for a while, this is a common scene in these parts... bikes everywhere
For something different (and keep Chloe quiet) we went trail riding for an hour, the iron horse (Harley) is much more comfortable.
