Sue came with her husband Rod (or Rodney as he is refered to in the last issue of Budgerigar World!).
Sue and Rod are Champion breeders living in Northamptonshire, some of their successes include winning the first ever Double Factor Spangle Colour Certificate and Breeder D.F. Spangle CC at the B.S. Show.
Sue took questions from the floor. One of the issues raised was about buying outcrosses, she does not try to buy overall outstanding birds but instead looks for something lacking in her stud and tries to obtain birds that excel in that feature. Currently she is looking to add a greater amount of down to the feather of her birds.
I have to apologise to Sue as I didn't take notes and unfortunately cannot remember any more details by the time I came to write this article.
Sue was very ill the day before with suspected food poisoning, we would like to thank her for coming and giving her talk shortly after being so ill.
