Outdoor Pursuit in Gombak

 

Flying fox, abseiling ... these were terms heard of during my school days in Red Crescent Society. And I've got to do it again and this time at a waterfall in the Gombak jungle. Went to Jungle Lodge, Gombak and a team lead by Nazri organises outdoor pursuits and group dynamics activities. We chose the outdoor pursuit which included jungle trekking, river trotting, flying fox and abseiling. And I must say my RM50 is well spent as you get good exhilarating fun in the hands of experts.

Abseiling down a slippery waterfall. And even going to the path of the gushing water from the waterfall with just a rope in your hands (and of course a secure harness around your waist). And at the end of the rock, you just let go your brakes and jump down to the cool water below.

Flying fox is where a rope is tied between 2 ends and you just glide your way along the rope by holding on to the harness tied to the rope. It was just a short journey ... this one isn't so challenging. Except that we had to climb up a steep slope before everything starts.
