SPACE AGE NEW AGE ONE AND THE SAME
In 1976 the United States launched the Voyager space probe which was to
make a grand tour of the outer planets. It has since sent back information
which answered many questions about the physical makeup of the Universe.
The success of this mission was made possible because of its timing which
took place when all the planets were in alignment. This Grand Alignment
was perfect during March of 1982, ushering in the age of Aquarius, as noted
in the Broadway title song "Age of Aquarius" which starts "When the Moon
is in the Seventh House and Jupiter aligns with Mars."
This alignment was rare because it takes the outermost planet named Pluto,
taking 248.5 Earth years for it to orbit the Sun. Another Grand Alignment
will not happen again for another five hundred years. It is true that the
coming of the alignment gave great opportunity for research concerning
the position of the heavenly bodies. However, the gravitational pull from
this alignment is the cause of the earthquake and volcano plagued eighties.
These included Mexico City, Italy, Russia, Armenia, San Francisco, China,
Japan, the Philippines, and mount St. Helens.
On a positive note, our scientists took advantage of the alignment to get
pictures of all the outer planets with one probe. It should be noted that
the mission was also possible because all nine planets are on the same
plane. Meaning that they are like dishes on a table top with the Sun being
the center piece.
The planets are also all going around the Sun in the same counterclockwise
direction. Even their moons are also rotating around them in that same
direction, except for the one moon around the planet Neptune. However,
this moon is a captured asteroid as shown by pictures sent back from the
Voyager in 1989. This leaves only outermost Pluto which will be the end
of Voyager's grand tour to begin its journey outward, where it can then
send back pictures of our solar system from interstellar space.
We can now use Voyager's pictures of the planets to understand the workings
of the Solar Systems and how all the planets have rotations called days
because the rotation of each planet is different, making their of days
different lengths. Venus, which is the second planet from the Sun, has
the slowest rotation of 225 "Earth days", and the shortest rotation is
nine hours for Jupiter which is the fifth planet from the Sun and is ten
times bigger then the Earth. The Sun is much bigger then any of the planets
and if you can imagine your head being the planet Earth, the Sun would
then be as big as a football stadium with a dome over it, and you would
be far enough from it so that it would appear to be the size of a quarter.
We know that the Earth has an axis which extends through the center of
the earth from the North to the South pole. We have recently calibrated
that the Earth's axis is tilted 23.8 degrees from the plane of the solar
system. This tilt is why we have variations in the lengths of our days.
All heavenly bodies have a tilt in their axis, and moreover, the axis tilt
also has a motion called a precession. This is a changing of the direction
the tilt is pointing. Axis precessions are the slow clock like rotational
changing of an axis, making their motion appear like a spinning top that
is starting to fall down. With the aid of computers we are able to visualize
the Axis Precession (which is a heavenly motion only seen with computers).
It will be the calibration of this motion which will bring man into the
next Age called the Space Age.
We now know that the whole Universe has a spinning motion which can be
calibrated by precession data. This data will make it possible to eventually
measure the expansion of the Universe, and allow us to compute all time
as a measure of universal positions. It will be this ability that will
give us the mind power to evolve past the time dimension barrier.
