Richard calls attention to the fact that although the SNL Show was broadcast live in New York area, so editing Sinead out would have been difficult by the producers (really they could have stop the camera if they wanted there is a 5 secound delay) however in California because of the time deference the SNL Show was broadcast from tape some hours latter. NBC had every opportunity to cut the ripping sequence out from the California show. They did not, it was shown in California as recorded.
