Week 2 Studs and Duds |

DE Jevon Kearse had himself a great game yet again. Before leaving with a left knee injury during OT, The Freak had 2.5 sacks as well as a forced fumble. Everyone in Philadelphia, team and fans alike will be hoping things turn out okay for Jevon. |

RG Shaun Andrews looked great once again making several key blocks. The Eagles faced some scrutiny when they drafted this hefty guard from Arkansas, but Andrews is proving himself to be a rock on the offensive line. |
| MLB Jeremiah Trotter was making plays all over the field in week 2. Besides stopping Tiki Barber all day, Trotter also registered an interception in what was a truly exceptional performance by the crafty veteran. |

TE LJ Smith had himself a great game with 7 receptions for 111 yards. Smith averaged 15.9 yards per catch and if he continues producing, he is yet another weapon for Donovan to utilize. The NFC East is stacked with great TEs such as Jeremy Shockey and Jason Whiten. LJ undoubtedly turned some heads with this performance. |

CB Joselio Hanson's future with the Eagles might be in jeopardy following his defensive meltdown. The Giants were picking on him all day and with good reason as he looked shaky all afternoon. |

For the second week in a row, SS Michael Lewis had a bad game. First Lewis failed to pick up a playaction leaving a Giants WR wide open that would turn into a TD. Later in the game, Lewis failed to secure a Plaxico Burress fumble that proved to be a real momentum change. Lewis had a lousy 2005 and is having an awful 2006. |

FS Brian Dawkins was the only bright spot of a dim Eagles secondary. B-Dawk laid out some heavy hits and once again showed why he is so beloved in Philly. |
| RT Jon Runyan and Giants DE Michael Strahan were butting heads the entire game and in the end, Runyan won the trench battle. Strahan recorded 0 sacks in the game. |

Stupid penalty or not, QB Donovan Mcnabb looked good again throwing for 350 yards with 2 TDs and a 60% completion rate with zero interceptions. McNabb has 5 TDs and 1 INT on the year. |
| DT Mike Patterson was almost overlooked this week given the injury to Kearse and Trent Cole's bittersweet game. The second year man from USC had a great game registering 1.5 sacks. The Birds are expecting big things from Patterson this year and Week 2 was a great start. |

CB Sheldon Brown was the first to admit that he had a bad game in week 2. Hopefully Sheldon can figure out what's wrong and figure it out very soon. |
K David Akers is a tough guy to pick on, but he has not looked good on FG tries this year. He is 2/3 on the year, but has hit the uprights twice. It is too early and Akers is too good of a kicker to be worried, but hopefully things improve for #2 in the upcoming weeks. |
