Dreadnought was acted well, it was directed well.  The writing couldve been better, but with so much potential why didnt I like it that much?

To be honest Im not quite sure.  Two elements that I found unbelievable though was the fact that they came across the missile that was in almost perfect shape, the other that BElanna, no matter how good she is at Engineering, could redesign something to become so clever that she can barely stop it.

How does Dreadnought re-fuel itself?  It has been travelling for slightly longer than Voyager has, and yet it doesnt need any kind of refueling?  Yeah, whatever.  Perhaps Im nitpicking, but that is a major factor in the missiles journey because this situation wouldnt have happened.

Perhaps the main reason for me not liking Dreadnought too much is that despite the drastic measures taken, what use or purpose does this episode have?  Some episodes can do without the SFX, character interaction or whatever if they are fun to watch.

But Dreadnought isnt all that fun to watch.  If it had some good character work or something more involved in it than I would like it better.  But there is no lasting impact that well see from these events.

Voyager makes a new friend - but we probably will never see them again.  BElanna couldve been responsible for the deaths of millions - but she saves them anyway.  BElanna almost dies in there - well we know shell be fit and ready for next time.  Janeway sets the ship on Auto Destruct - but it was aborted, naturally within sweating distance of detonation.

I did however enjoy the Doctor scenes, especially when Janeway tells him that she had forgotten him, and there was amusing deception from the missile, and Roxann Biggs acting was nice, but nothing that had me intrigued.

So in ending, what Dreadnought needed was more substance.  It had all the ingredients, but not enough salt and pepper, so to speak.
