Fantasy Bowl V saw team Shadow reclaim
the trophy, with the strength once again of their phenomenal running
game. Propelled through the playoffs by Marshall Faulk, Terry Allen
and Curtis Martin despite the fact that the quarterback position did not
produce a single positive point during all 3 rounds of the playoffs.
Jim Kelly strong throughout the year fell into the dreaded
"questionable" status during the playoffs. Minus 3, minus 6 & Minus 4 were
all he would produce during the critical playoff period of week 14 through
week 16.

Team Shadow brought on a rookie partner this
year. Raymond Potts, whose hard work and keen organizational
skills led to a superb draft. Twelve of the Sixteen players drafted by
Shadow remained on their roster throughout the year, including Wide Receiver
Tim Brown who would wind up on Shadow's roster time and time again.

|
This was also the first year for owner Rocky Smith who's partnership with
Kevin Ropenis failed to generate any electricity for High Voltage, although
Rocky Smith would go on to dominate the early 2000's winning three
championships in four years. This was also the first year in
which Raymond Tang failed to field a team in the RFFL. After 4 years
of dominating the RFFL, 2 Fantasy Bowl Championships, one Fantasy Bowl Loss
and a Consolation Bowl Win in four years, is a feat which will never be
forgotten.
