Records in 1993 were finally computerized.
Though scores were still done manually from the Monday morning New York Post, the
official source of statistics for the RFFL for 5 years. The standings
were finally prepared in Excel, well not quite Excel, Ed used Quatro Pro but
it looked 100% better than the cocktail napkins that the standings were
distributed on in 1991.

1993 was a tumultuous year, the league was
almost torn apart by the attempts of one owner to control two separate
franchises. In an attempt to build the first "Super Team"
the owner, , proceeded to make weekly trades until
his team had picked the others clean. Fortunately the Commissioners
were not asleep and detected this by week 3. The only good that came
of that was to bring the Fighting Irish into the league for the first
time. Owner Iain Maclean agreed to manage the "Ownerless"
team after the league complained about the Commissioners talents, winning
the first 2 games while controlling the Ownerless team.

Banishment from the league for this rogue owner was strongly considered, but
in an effort to keep the League, which was still in its infancy,
together, it was decided to allow the owner to remain. Rules were
added to address these unsportsman like actions. The Legendary Owner
Raymond Tang actually took this owner under his wing the following season
and proceeded to bring dignity and honor back to this owner.
Winning the trophy in 1994.
