Records during the early years of the
Rebels Fantasy Football League are sketchy. No one thought on that
early evening in August 1991 that we would still be here so many years
later.

Fantasy Bowl Champion - Samurais
coached by legendary mastermind Raymond Tang defeated Shadow coached by
Phil Kraker in the closest Fantasy Bowl in the history of the RFFL,
Samurais win by one point.

This was the season where we had our first draft delay. While waiting
for Kevin Lupke to fly in from Florida, Mike Williamson and Mike Goudanio
were recruited to draft in his absence. They wound up drafting a
better team than Kevin could have ever hoped for. so they became a three way
partnership. The draft was held in Mike Williamson's backyard during
his block party.

|
|
Classic draft moments:
|
1.) Ray Tang cause draft panic by drafting quarterbacks Dan
Marino and Chris Miller back to back with the final pick of Round 1 and
the first pick of Round 2. Sending papers flying from those owners
who did not pick a QB in the first Round.
|
2.) The first official sleeper picked by the Axial Headloads,
Barry Foster RB Pitsburgh, in the 15th Round.
|
3.) Mike Gibb confidently announces Alen Pinket as one of his
first picks, provoking simultaneous outcries of "Out for the
Season" from the remaining RFFL owners.
