The Goals and Mission
of FQS
Our goals are to:
Stimulate interest in music and musical affairs.
Provide a wholesome environment for college musicians to socially interact.
Further the aims of the musical organization at the chapter's home institution.
Honor those men and women who have devoted thier time and efforts to the musical organization at the institutions of thier respective chapters.
Further awareness and educatation of all musical forms and styles.
Advance chapter relations with the college and community.
Promote college and community involvement with musical activities.
Preserve our musical and fraternal history, traditions, and future.
Cultivate friendship and interaction among members and the collegiate ensembles.
Expand chapters and membership.
Provide opportunities for interaction among musical organizations and thier members.
Our Mission Statement
The Mission Statement Phi Theta Sigma, Honorary Fraternity for Collegiate Musicians, is in existence to provide a wholesome environment in which musicians of both sexes and from all musical disciplines may harmoniously interact through membership, service to music, and social activities with one another. We believe that bonds created through membership will provide and enrich a wholesome collegiate experience for all involved in college music.
