Small and Vicious Ealos are immune to normal missile weapons due to their small size and fast movements. Or, you could roll 1D100 and have a 1% chance +1% for every point of dexterity above 20 and every point of enchantment for the bow... or just forget it. Of course, homing things hit. After a Small Ealo scores a hit, it attaches itself and drains blood at a rate of 1D4 points per round. Treat this as a regular attack with an automatic hit. a PC can easily shale off Small Ealos, and can push off 1D4+1 per round for every point of strength above 6. Large Ealos dive and attack with their two large front claws, and if they hit they keep hold and begin to drain blood, doing an autoatic 2D8 damage per round until the person makes a successful open doors roll. Vicious Ealos don't attach when they hit, but have a 25% chance of infecting the PC with a debilating disease that prevents normal healing until a Cure Disease or better spell is cast. Habitat/Society Ealos live in large, dark, and often moist caves. Ecology Ealos feed on small animals and stupid mammals, and often times large amounts of treasure can amass in the cave of a large group of Ealos.
