Darks wear either Plate of Full Plate and a shield and a long sword. Lights wear Chain Mail or Full Plate and a shield with a Broad Sword. Dark leaders get an extra attack each round with their sword from their skill and experience with it. Grays wear Full Plate and a shield, and leaders have their Full Plate with a +2 enchantment. They use broad sword, long sword, or any other one handed weapon. Leaders get 2 attacks from their experience in combat. Dark Dragons can transform once a month into a Chromatic dragon of 10th age, with 5 HP per hit dice. The same Dark Dragon cannot transform into two different types of dragon. Light Dragons transform into Metallic dragons at 10th, with 6 HP per hit dice. Gray Dragons are even more powerful, transforming into 12th with 8 HP per hit dice. These transformations last 1 hour (6 turns, 60 rounds). Transformation: Roll a Constitution check at a -2 penalty. Failure indicates no success, but the person can try again with a -1 penalty, then no penalty, then +1 bonus, etc. Dark Dragons have 13 Con, Light have 16, and Gray have 18. One strange thing about all of these, however, is that since the Dragon Clanners do not have the minds of dragons, they do not get extra spells or age-linked powers. This is because they do not have the minds of the dragon, nor its habits. Habitat/Society Dark Dragon Clanner society is militaristic and ruthless, with only generals keeping their wings. At the age of 10, children are given a test to see if they should become the new generation of generals - the best ones become generals, and the others, well - CHOP. Off with the wings. The wings are a status symbol, and have nothin to do with the Dark Dragon Clanner ability to transform into dragons. Light Dragon Clanners, however, rarely keep their wings - more often than not, they are removed and the child sent to live in another city until they mature to protect them from Dark Dragon Clanners. There are no real leaders in either group, but there are organizers and planners. Gray Dragons, almost thought to be extinct, never keep their wings. They rarely transform, and then only if they are certain they will kill their opponent or their nature is already known. They are viewed as enemies to both Light and Dark Dragon Clans, because the Blacks (rightly) beleive that the Gray Dragons are a powerful enemy. Light Dragon Clanners dislike the for their practice of killing all who see their dragon forms. This behavior has destroyed many thousands of people over the years. Ecology As normal humans.
