The Phelps Career Senior High School Architectural Drafting Program offers a three year program which emphasizes the basic elements and concepts of drafting while providing many experiences that help the student make a smooth transition from traditional drafting to CADD (Computer Assisted Drafting and Design).

The primary objective of the program is to help students learn to visualize in three dimensions, to build technical imaginations, to think precisely, to understand the language of industry and to prepare them to make the transition from traditional drafting methods to computerized methods.

The Architectural Drafting Program can prepare you for a lifetime career in design at several technical levels of performance. The program provides a complete and well-rounded drafting experience that can lead to either further architectural study at the college level or a career as a drafting technician on a design-engineering team.
