| Born on August 19, 1969 in Williamstown, Massachusetts, and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, Matthew was an only child. His mother was a former Canadian TV anchor and one time press secretary for Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, Suzanne, and his father John Perry. You may or may not remember him from the Old Spice commercials. His parents divorced when Perry was no older than a year. Perry is very fond of Tennis. He had stated playing at the age of 4. When he reached the age of 13 he was ranked #2 player in Ottawa. Matthew had also ranked #17 nationally in the juniors singles and #3 in the doubles competition. Matt also enjoys playing hockey and softball. He is known to play celebrity hockey for charity events. When Matthew was 10 years old his mother married Keith Morrison, a Canadian Ancor, and had 4 more children. Matt has one 16 year old step sister, three half sisters, and one half brother. Matt started his acting career off by participating in his 7th grade play. Matt said, "After I got my first laugh on stage, I was hooked." Matt moved to Los Angeles and lived there with his dad at the age of 15. After Matt had graduated, he enrolled in the University of Southern CA, but decided to act instead. He kicked his career off with a leading role in "Boys will Be Boys" In 1994, Matthew auditioned for the show "Friends" and took the part of Chandler Bing. Matthew Perry, as of today, had dual citizenship in Canda and in the US.
