| Monica and Chandler first met on a Thanksgiving day. Ross, Monica's brother, brought Chandler to their house for this day. That time Monica was a fat girl, and the minute she saw Chandler she went crazy and had a little crush on him. The same day, Ross wanted to take Rachel, Monica's best friend, out and said that Chandler could stay at his house until he got back, at that comment Chandler said that he didnt want to stay with his fat sister, thing that Monica heard. The next thanksgiving that Chandler came to the Geller's house, Monica was much thinner and according to Chandler she had a "Great body". Monica had began to loose weight after Chandler called her fat and this year, she wanted to get a revenge, so she asked Rachel what she could do. She told her to be all sexy in front of him and pretend that she wanted to have sex with him and then leave him naked and throw all his cloth to the street. Everything was going according to the plan until Monica, trying to be sexy, threw (by mistake) the knife she had in her hand and it cute his toe. The Geller's, Rachel and Chandler went to the hospital and instead of bringing his toe, Monica brought a carrot. After time Chandler and Monica became best friends, and when the series started they were living across the hall from each other. They had become best friends, always doing things together. Monica had always wanted to have babies and the day Ben (Carol and Ross's child) was born Monica was really depressed so Chandler offered her that he will have babies with her if neither of them were married by the time they were 40. Of course, Monica started questioning him about why she wouldnt be married by the time she reached 40. In one trip to the beach, Chandler offered Monica to be his boyfriend, but she laughed at him. So the whole time at the beach he bothered her. He asked her out and he kept asking why she thought he wasnt a boyfriend material. One time they were at the beach, getting 'tan' Monica got sting by a Jellyfish and the only way to stop the pain was someone peeing on it, she couldnt bend that way and Joey couldnt do it because of the pressure, so Chandler did it, he peed on Monica. After they were back from the beach, Chandler continued with the boyfriend material discussion, thing that ended with Monica saying "I think you are great, I think you are sweet, and you are smart, and I love you. But you will always be the guy who peed on me" And it finally happened in London, in Ross's second wedding. Monica was depressed because her mother was giving her a hard time and a guy (DRUNK guy) thought that she was Ross's mother. She drank until she got really drunk and she slept with Chandler. At first they said it was a mistake, and that they will only do it while they were in London, thing that changed after they arrived to New York. Monica thanked Chandler for what they had had, because it was really special to her. Chandler left the apartment, but came seconds later saying "I'm still in London time, does that count?" and Monica simply answered "Oh yeah, that counts" and that is were their relationship officially started, but they decided to keep it as a secret relationship. Joey found out about them after one trip Monica and Chandler went to, just the two of them. And Rachel discovered after hearing a conversation over the phone between Monica and Chandler. Chandler didnt know the exact reason why he had lost his toe, until Monica actually reveals it. He got really mad at her and Monica, trying to make him forgive her, put a turkey on her head, then glasses and a hat, Chandler was amazed by this that it actually made him say "You are great, I love you!" which he denied after realizing what he had said. The moment came, Chandler and Monica said their first I love you's the same episode Phoebe and Ross discovered about their secret relationship. Phoebe saw them doing it up against the window after Ross went to see Ugly Naked Guy's apartment. She now knew about them and with the help of Rachel they played with Chandler and Monica. Phoebe tried to make Chandler think that she liked him in a 'more than friends' way. Chandler and Monica knew that Phoebe knew, so they decided to go along the 'game' which ended when Chandler and Phoebe kissed for the first time. Chandler couldnt take it anymore, he broke the kiss and said that he couldnt do it, Phoebe asked why and he simply answered "Because Im in love with Monica!! Thats right, I love her, I LOVE her" Monica came out of the bathroom (where she had been hiding the whole time Phoebe was in Chandler and Joey's apartment) and said " I love you too Chandler" Ross was talking to his boss in his new apartment (Ugly Naked Guy's ex-apartment) and saw them doing it, which made him freak out. After having a little talk with Chandler and Monica about their relationship he was no longer mad and now everyone knew. Then everyone started talking about them getting married, which made Chandler freak out. Monica got mad at him and the only way he thought of saying he was sorry was proposing. But Monica made him think and they ended happy but not engaged. In one trip to Vegas, to celebrate their first year anniversary Chandler proposed to Monica again, this time they left it to the dices. If Monica rolled two fours, they would get married, so Monica rolled them and one felt out of the table. The one that remained in the table was a four. Both, Monica and Chandler, went under the table and saw that the dice could be a 4 or a 5, Monica let Chandler decide................... and he said it was a 4. When they were ready to get married Ross and Rachel got out of the church (they had just gotten married!!) which left them in shock. After talking they decided that it was too soon to get married but they decided to move in together in Monica's apartment (Rachel moved in with Phoebe) After one year of living together, Chandler felt ready to get married with Monica, but as he was about to propose, Richard (Monica's ex-boyfriend) appeared so he couldnt do it. One day at work, Monica got a visit from Richard , saying that he was still in love with her and that he wanted to marry her. Monica was really confused, she didnt know what to do. Richard had asked her to marry him and Chandler was doing anything but show her that he wanted to get married (because after arriving from the restaurant where they had met Richard, Phoebe and Rachel asked to see her hand. He thought she might have suspected something so he started talking about how stupid marriege was, etc...) But at the end, when Chandler had gave up afte Joey told him that Monica had left to her parents house, he entered his and apartment to see it full of candles and Monica standing in the middle. She tried to propose but she couldnt do it ("There is a reason why girls dont do this!") and he ended proposing to her. And the big day finally came, after a whole year of preparation Monica and Chandler walked down the aisle and got married. Joey was the one who married them. Chandler, being himself, freaked out a day before the wedding after hearing the message on their answering machine, but after Phoebe and Ross talked to him he calmed down a bit. The time finally came and when Chandler saw Monica walking down the aisle he felt ready to marry her. And thats it until now... Lets see if Monica gets pregnant any time soon.... |
