Ok, she's got pants, a swim diaper OVER the pants, a shirt, a beachcover up, and her hat. And she's trying to get as close to the Tubbies as possible.
We hadn't PLANNED on going in the pool, but Sam decided she needed a drink out of the hose.
August 26, 2000--19 months old
Sam has had a very busy month!! At her 18 month appointment, she was only saying 5 words. Now, about 6 weeks later, she is saying over 30, as well as counting to 3!! She can recognize 4 colors--red, blue, green, and yellow, but she can only say blue and yellow. She also has a new favorite doll, named "Buboo". She calls him "BooBoo" sometimes, but "Buboo" seems to be the preferred moniker.
Sam can eat a whole meal with her fork or spoon now, which we love because that means less fighting with her to clean off her hands & face after dinner. Spaghetti still usually winds up on her head, but hey...Her favorite foods are blueberries, cheese, & turkey hot dogs. She loves to play dress up, and is a budding shoe fetishist. She also got a BIG GIRL BED! She has fallen asleep in it on her own twice, and we will try to transition her into her own bed by the time she is 2.
Her Aunt Melanie came to visit for a week, with her friend Jay, and Sam relished in all the extra attention. She is spending most of her time outdoors these days, and is usually with her best friend in the whole world, Jack. She loves her pool--we'll have to bring it in the second the weather turns cool, because we can't keep her out of it. She is also all done with baths---she likes to take showers with mommy now. We still are lacking in the hair department (at least, not enough to allow me to put in ponytails), and her eyes are still a beautiful shade of blue (thanks to Mike).
My old roommates, Jason & Amy, came up from PA to stay overnight with us. They brought their wonderful dog, a dalmation named Ziggy. He was fantastic with Samantha, and she was VERY sorry to see him go. We'll have pictures of the two of them cuddling soon Til next time...
My apologies for the largeness of the pictures. I got them developed by someone other than Kodak, and couldn't do any cropping or editing with their crummy system. Kodak just made a customer for life :)
