The Truth

I never said I was normal.
What exactly did you expect to find?
Asking questions
You didn't want to hear the answers to
I am my own person
Thoughts, actions, memories.
I'm not your little doll
To fill up with ideas like marbles in a jar
I didn't trick you-
You tricked yourself
I was never a sweet little pink sweatered girl
I'm sorry I wasn't your kind of catch-
I guess you'll have to throw me back
For a different girl-a cheerleader or homecoming queen.
For someone with no emotional baggage
For a Barbie doll with big boobs and small ideas
But why should I change for you?
I never lied about who I was.
I never said I was normal.
