It�s not that the game is bad, but it�s not the all-mighty, super-innovative, game-to-rule-all-games that many people make it out to be. It�s more like a barge-into-the-room, shoot-everything-that-moves, quake-II-on-steroids game. It�s good at being that, but not good at much else.
What�s the point of having super intelligent AI when you can kill almost any enemy by walking up to them and hitting them with your gun twice as fast as you can by actually shooting at them? And the countless gimmicks that people call innovative. If adding cars to something as overdone as First Person Shooters is considered innovative, why does everyone hate Simpson�s Road Rage? And the �realism� of being able to carry only two guns at a time is all well and good, except that it�s the only realistic thing it the entire game! Not to mention that the game itself only lasts about two weeks, and half of the levels are almost clones of each other.
On the positive side, LAN multiplayer is a blast, and co-op mode is very entertaining.
Another plus is the moody music tracks, although most of it is lost behind gun-shots and alien screeches.
The graphics are decent, but fail to really show off Xbox�s power.
