Animal Crossing
Have you ever wondered what you would get if you mixed Harvest Moon and The Sims, then put in annoying animals as characters? No? Well, Ill tell you anyway, youd get Animal Crossing. With that out of the way, the second most important thing to know is what genre it is. Nintendo calls it communication, I call that bull shit.
Anyyyway back on topic, this is actually a pretty good game, but more for the player that likes replay value as opposed to a lot of action. What I mean is, this isnt going to be a game youll beat in a week, its imposable. There are hundreds of things to do, but you can only do one or two a day. This is all thanks to the real time clock the game works on. If its Christmas in real life, itll be snowing in the game, and youll be able to buy stuff you cant normally. But, although this can keep you from playing a lot, itll keep you going on every day to make sure youre not missing some big event.
There really is a lot to do, though. You can fish, collect stuff for your house, pay off your house to Tom Nook (you have to do this for a LONG time, since he keeps making Add-ons
you have to pay him back like six times!), do favors for your annoying animal nabors, plant trees, chop down trees, and you can even play old NES games.
It can get quite addictive, just like other games in the same style, and youll never run out of errands to run or bug to catch, but the game isnt for everyone. I know lots of people will hate the open-ended,
non-goal based world of Crossing, and a lot will stop playing before they even start because it has animals in it (damn kiddy game haters! I know where you live!)
But if anything in this game is truly bad, its the graphics. I dont know why Nintendo decided to leave in the N64 graphics (the game was origonaly developed for N64), but it wasnt one of their smarter moves. The game it's own style, sure, but it mostly just looks really dated.

Story 2/10
Gameplay 9/10
Graphics 4/10
Sound 7/10
Replay 10/10
Overall 8/10 (NOT AN AVERAGE!)
