According to the Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee, one cup of soy-based beverage equals one serving from the "dairy" group. Soy contains "isoflavones", another term for phytoestrogens
(group of substances found in plants that are weak estrogens) that help reduce heart disease, breast cancer and symptoms of menopause.
