My name is Forrest Andrews. I am a simple man, and thus, I lead a simple life. Someone once described me as acting like a 64 year old man trapped in the body of a 22 year old man. I have lived in the same small town since I was born. I don't do drugs, and I don't smoke, and women who smoke are kind of a turnoff. I drink occasionally, mostly beer, because me and the hard stuff don't get along well. I currently have a kick ass girlfriend, who is wicked cool because she puts up with all my crap. I am a full-time 911 Dispatcher for a small town in Connecticut, and in the summer, I work the gate at a park/beach near my house. I  I am also a state certified firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician, and volunteer with a local department. I go to school for Criminal Justice. I drive a 2001 GMC Sierra Z-71 pickup with just under 300 horses under the hood.

I feel it is necessary to tell you why this site came into existence. I originally got this site as a school project back in my senior year of high school. It was a rather nifty class on web design. Things have changed a lot in my life since I was a junior in high school, and I never really had gotten around to updating this. But now I tend to have a bit of time free between all my other activities, so this is one thing I can play with and not get yelled at while doing it. I was constantly trying to do a better job at this site back in high school, but I could never seem to get it quite right. Well here I am. I enjoyed screwing around with this stuff then and I enjoy doing it now.

For fun, I try to do as much fun stuff as I possibly can. I have an ATV, a Yamaha Grizzly 600, which is one kick ass bike. Places to ride are becoming more scarce around these parts due to greedy people and their lust for development of pristine open land. This town is going to eventually end up with nothing but 700 thousand dollar houses and development that will not provide a good stable tax base, thus raising taxes yet again. I used to have a Jeep Wrangler, but when I got the new truck, it was handed down to the sister. That thing was an off-road badass. (Note - a golf course is a waste of a perfectly good rifle range.) I'm so suburban white trash!

But anyway, I also enjoy shooting in my spare time. No, I am not some sort of gun nut, a term which I absolutely despise, but I have a genuine interest in the sport. I target shoot with many types of rifles and pistols, and also have been known to skeet and trap shoot as well. I reload my own ammunition, which is pretty cool considering I can manufacture whatever load I need for a particular situation.. I am kind of new at it, but have had no problems. When I decided I wanted to start reloading, I took an NRA reloading class at Cubeta's Field & Stream in Middlefield, Ct (1-800-CUBETAS). It was an excellent class, and I recommend taking it if you are totally new to reloading like I was. Reloading kicks ass because it saves you money and it is an interesting science to learn how to do. Shooting is an excellent hobby because it teaches you control, not only of the gun itself, but of various body systems that have to be kept in control in order to place a little piece of flying metal downrange. It's really fun, and I recommend it to anyone who is within their legal right to own a firearm.

I love to travel whenever I get the chance. I went to Ohio with my girl for Christmas 2003, which was my first time traveling out of the New England area. Daytrips with friends to NYC and Boston are the best. I love going to concerts and to hockey games. I have family in Maine, and travel there often. I must say that I enjoy the whole New England atmosphere, from the cold weather to the clambakes. This area suits me well, and I plan on staying for as long as i can. It is one of the best areas of our fine nation.
