Zachary Malet is one of the top middle distance runners in the Philadelphia area. He made a national name for himself by storming his way to the runner up position in the Intermediate Boys 800 at the AAU National Championships (2004). He has also showed his range by contributing solid legs to PhatBack's All-American 4x400 (3:21.5). Malet maintains a B average at the prestigious Friends Central school and aspires to run for a highly competitive collegiate program.
